On Monday morning, August 18, Kharkiv was hit by kamikaze drones. One of the “Shaheds” struck a residential building in the city’s Industrial District.
This was reported by Kharkiv Regional Governor Oleh Syniehubov and Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov.
The strike caused a large fire, and people may still be trapped under the rubble.
According to preliminary information, five residents are considered missing.
The regional administration reports that five people have already been confirmed dead at the site of the morning Russian strike, and 18 others were injured.
The search and rescue operation continues; firefighters, medics, and emergency services are working at the scene.
“A 16-year-old boy has become the fourth victim of this morning’s enemy attack on Kharkiv. The child’s body was found under the rubble,” Syniehubov stated.
