The Ukrainian-American company Esper Bionics has begun accepting pre-orders for the second generation of its self-learning bionic prosthesis, Esper Hand.

According to a short teaser by the company, Esper Hand 2 will be waterproof for “reliable operation in any conditions.”

According to the startup’s CEO Dmytro Hazda, Esper Hand 2 will go on sale very soon.

"Daily use, all environments, no compromises,” he added.

At the same time, a page for the new product has appeared on the Esper Bionics website, where users can submit a request to join the early access list.

Esper Bionics is a startup that develops robotic limbs. It was founded in 2019 by serial entrepreneur Dmytro Hazda, economist Anna Belevantseva, former lawyer Ihor Ilchenko, and engineer Borys Lobanov. The company is headquartered in New York, with R&D and manufacturing offices in Ukraine and Germany. Its team includes over 35 specialists with experience in medicine, engineering, entrepreneurship, and sales.

One of the startup’s main products is Esper Hand—a bionic self-learning hand prosthesis that automatically adjusts its functionality to each user’s habits and lifestyle. It uses machine learning algorithms to study behavior, anticipate movements, and intuitively change grips.

Esper Bionics is also developing Esper Control—a portable brain-computer interface (BCI) device, and Esper Platform—a cloud-based software solution for modernizing and personalizing device control.

In Ukraine, the company is known for its social program Esper for Ukraine, through which more than 80 Ukrainian defenders have already received bionic prostheses.
