The exceptional development of IT and cybersecurity in Ukraine has managed to maintain the digital front at war with russia. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov during a speech at the Young Global Leaders Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

"russia's armed aggression has proved that digitalization is critical not only in recovery, but also in defending the country. What the IT sector has achieved in recent years in Ukraine impresses the whole world. This helped apart from managing to withstand during the digital invasion of the russians, also to continue to create new products for the benefit and comfort of Ukrainians during the war," said Mikhail Fedorov.

The Minister added that the decision-making processes within the Ministry of Digital Transformation were maintained before the war. This was facilitated by a network of CDTO that introduce innovations on the ground and remove bureaucratic constraints.

According to Mykhailo Fedorov, this principle is followed by in the new concepts of the Government. This should help restore Ukraine as quickly as possible: "We are shaping a vision of a post-war Government. The Government needs to become flexible and mobile as an IT company, to automate all functions and services, significantly change the structure, reduce 60% of officials, introduce large-scale privatization and outsourcing of government functions. Even in the customs. Only such a Government will be able to bring about quick and bold reforms to rebuild the country and ensure rapid development."

At the Forum, the participants were interested in the experience of Ukraine and asked a number of questions about the Diia and Diia.City, digital services, the operation of Starlink, the fight against misinformation, the world's first cyber war and the development of Ukrainian IT sector.

"We have shown the world that the russian army in cyberspace was not the first or second, it is not even in the top ten. While our IT army continues to hold the cyber front, attack the enemy and look for new cyber solutions," urged the Deputy Prime Minister.

Mykhailo Fedorov also stressed the importance of supporting a democratic world - namely the importance of sanctions and the digital blockade of russia. International companies must leave the russian market if they do not want to sponsor the killings of civilians in Ukraine.
