Finland is providing €4.5 million through the "Partnership for a Strong Ukraine" fund for 2025-2027 to support Ukraine's resilience and stability.

This was announced in a press release on the Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs' website.

"February 24 marks three years since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion. Ukraine has demonstrated resilience and strong fighting spirit. The war of aggression is testing the country's capacity and unity, and the need for support is immense," the statement reads.

It emphasizes that supporting Ukraine's critical social and public infrastructure, as well as ensuring key services and livelihoods amid Russian aggression, is crucial.

"Ukraine's reconstruction and the support of basic services will contribute to the country's resilience, which is also necessary for achieving lasting peace," said Ville Tavio, Finland's Minister for Foreign Trade and Development.

Assistance through the "Partnership for a Strong Ukraine" (PFRU) fund comes from nine countries.

Finland provided a total of €4.3 million in support for the first phase of the fund from 2022 to 2024. During this period, the PFRU implemented 577 recovery-supporting projects, helped 2 million people access basic services, launched media campaigns, and supported mental health services, as well as stability and resilience in Ukraine's eastern and southern regions.
