During the night of April 25, 2025 (starting at 10:30 p.m. on April 24), the Russian forces launched an attack using 103 strike UAVs (including drones simulating other types), with launch areas identified as Kursk, Bryansk, and Oryol in the Russian Federation.

The Russian aerial assault was repelled by Ukraine's Defense Forces using aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare systems, and mobile fire groups.

As of 8:30 a.m., 41 Shahed-type strike UAVs (and other drone types) were confirmed shot down in the eastern, northern, and central regions of the country.

Forty additional drones—simulators—were lost without causing any damage.

As a result of the attack, the regions of Kharkiv, Sumy, Cherkasy, Donetsk, and Dnipropetrovsk sustained damage.
