The State Ukreximbank has put up for sale a building of its branch in the center of Lviv. The auction will take place on January 9, 2024, on the OpenMarket platform (State Enterprise 'SETAM' of the Ministry of Justice), as reported by the bank's press service.
"The bank is selling the premises of its branch in Lviv, which is only used 15%. Therefore, with the aim of cost optimization and organizing relocation to another, more comfortable facility for visitors and employees, Ukreximbank has put the branch building up for sale," the statement said.
The property is located in Lviv on Mitskevycha Square, with a second entrance from M. Voronoho Street.
The total area of the building is 7108 sq. m, including:
- a banking facility with a total area of 2467.3 sq. m;
- another banking facility with a total area of 4271.9 sq. m;
- a technical block with a total area of 368.8 sq. m.
On the land plot near the building, there is a parking lot with an entrance from M. Voronoho Street (there is also an underground parking facility in the building).
The building is equipped with modern heating and air conditioning systems, as well as autonomous gas heating.
The starting price of the lot is over 373.66 million UAH. The guarantee fee for participation in the auction is 18.68 million UAH.
The property is owned by the bank, so there are no restrictions for the new owner regarding the designated use of the object.
The sale conditions stipulate that the bank will vacate the branch premises in Lviv by July 1, 2024, which essentially coincides with the deadline for the relocation of the Lviv branch of Ukreximbank to the new facility.
The building is listed in the State Register of Immovable Monuments of Ukraine as a monument of local architectural significance. The facade building of the branch was constructed in 1804, at that time it housed the 'Hotel d’Europe,' which is one of the oldest hotels in Lviv.
In 1949, the name of the hotel 'ÐвÑопейÑÑкий' (European) was changed to 'УкÑаÑна' (Ukraine). In 2006, the building, redesigned in the style of Austrian classicism from the 60s-70s of the 19th century, became the central office of Ukreximbank in Lviv.
In December 2021, Ukreximbank sold a 19th-century building on Sofiivska Street in Kyiv, also a cultural heritage object. The selling price was 46.7 million UAH.
