The corporate rights and 25 real estate objects of enterprises, which are one of the largest producers of paper and cardboard in Ukraine, have been seized.
This was reported in the press service of the office of the Prosecutor General.
"At the request of the prosecutors of the Office of the Prosecutor General, corporate rights and 25 real estate objects of enterprises, which are one of the largest producers of paper and cardboard in Ukraine, have been seized. The total amount of seized property is more than UAH 1 billion," the report says.
It is noted that BES employees discovered 9 enterprises under the control of a former deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, a colonel of the Russian Army, which was operating on the territory of Ukraine.
It was also established that during 2019-2021, the company's employees bought cars, non-residential premises, equipment, etc., which were owned by another company and were pledged to the bank at discounted prices.
As the investigation established, the officials of these companies, the beneficial owner of which is a citizen of the Russian Federation - a former deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, operating in 2019-2021 on the territory of Ukraine, evaded paying taxes totaling over UAH 132 million and legalized property in special large amounts (Art. 212, Art. 209 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Law enforcement officers do not name the person involved in the case. But according to sources of Economic Pravda, we are talking about the owner of the Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill, Vladimir Krupchak.
