At one of the enterprises in Zakarpattia, winter ski jackets of the Italian brand Vist with the symbols of the Russian Federation for the national ski team were secretly produced.
This was reported by the head of the Zakarpattia Regional Military Administration, Viktor Mykita.
The owner of the enterprise turned out to be an Italian citizen. The customer for the clothing was the organization 'RUSSIA SKI TEAM.'
"Law enforcement officers identified, documented, and stopped this unlawful activity. Thanks to law enforcement for their prompt response to potential threats and preventing illegal activities in the interests of the occupier," added Mykita.

It was determined that the illegal production took place at one of the sewing enterprises in the region. The factory started fulfilling orders from a Russian company that supplies specialized clothing for the national sports teams of the aggressor country since the beginning of 2023.
According to the investigation, during this period, the underground workshop produced and supplied over 40 wholesale batches of winter jackets for Russian skiers to Russia. To conceal the illegal shipments, the individuals involved covered the sports clothing with Russian symbols using masking tape.
To hide the illicit deliveries, their "route" passed through one of the European countries where the owner of the Zakarpattia sewing factory was located.
To facilitate the production process in the sewing workshop, he involved the manager of this enterprise. The execution of the Russian "order" involved no more than 5 seamstresses, selected from among "trusted" individuals.
The seamstresses also underwent additional "briefings" regarding not disclosing the fact of collaboration for the benefit of the aggressor country among their acquaintances and relatives.
Currently, within the framework of the criminal proceedings initiated under Article 110-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (financing actions aimed at violent change or overthrow of the constitutional order or seizure of state power, changes in the territory's borders, or the state border of Ukraine), the investigation is ongoing to establish all the circumstances of the crime and bring the guilty parties to justice.
The perpetrators face up to 10 years in prison with property confiscation.
