10 Russian tankers and four ferries hit in Sea of Azov strike operation

Ukraine’s Defense Forces on July 11 and overnight on July 12 struck 10 Russian oil tankers and four ferries in the waters of the Sea of Azov.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Telegram.

"On July 11 and during the night of July 12, as part of efforts to reduce the military and economic potential of the Russian aggressor, units of Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck a number of important military-economic and military targets of the enemy," the General Staff said.

During the night of July 12, the Syzran Oil Refinery in Russia’s Samara region was also hit.

In addition, 10 Russian tankers and four ferries in the Sea of Azov were struck.

The tankers are used to transport Russian oil and petroleum products in circumvention of international sanctions, while the ferries support military logistics and the transportation of cargo for the Russian Armed Forces.

Furthermore, on July 11, a Russian military train carrying fuel and lubricants was hit near Tokmak in the Zaporizhzhia region. A locomotive was confirmed to have been damaged.

The General Staff also updated the results of the July 10 strike on the Novatek-Ust-Luga gas processing complex in Slobodka, Leningrad region of Russia. Damage to an oil processing unit has been confirmed following an assessment of the consequences.

In total, during the week of July 6–12, the 'Birds' of the Unmanned Systems Forces struck 90 vessels belonging to Russia’s shadow fleet.
