The EU allocated half a million euros for joint training of Ukrainian and Romanian rescuers in the Danube region
The European Union has allocated 500 thousand euros for the implementation of the Ukrainian-Romanian project to prepare the rescuers of the two countries to respond to emergency situations on the Danube. It is reported by the State Emergency Service of the Odessa region.
The project is being implemented as part of the Romania-Ukraine 2014-2020 Programme in which the rescuers of the Delta Emergency Situations Inspectorate in Tulcea County and the State Emergency Service in the Odessa region will conduct a series of joint trainings, purchase special vehicles and rescue equipment, and will also share information.
Noted that 140 thousand euros will be sent directly to the units of the State Emergency Service in the Odessa region.
According to the terms of the Programme, the project will be implemented in the border areas of Ukraine and Romania. From the side of Ukraine, the Izmail district of Odessa region will become a venue for meetings.
