The famous French artist Fabien Toulmé has created a comic book dedicated to the war in Ukraine. The artist depicted four stories of people from different parts of Ukraine, men and women, who received assistance from the Dorijka consortium. The aim of the comic book is to give people outside of Ukraine an idea of the devastating impact of shelling and escalating conflict on the daily lives of civilians in the country.

All the characters in the comic shared their stories with the Dorijka consortium, which provided them with humanitarian aid. The comic artist based his work on four stories from Ukrainians, including:

  • Internally displaced Olena who found herself under the rubble of a building in Kharkiv.
  • Oksana who fled her native village taking "only clothes and some documents."
  • Student Kyrylo collecting rainwater for drinking.
  • Larysa forced to return to her destroyed home in Kamianets-Podilskyi.

The idea behind the comic is to inform people outside Ukraine about the devastating impact of shelling and the escalation of the conflict on everyday life.

Initially published in French on February 24, 2024, to coincide with the anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the comic received acclaim in French publications. Following its success, the author created Ukrainian and English versions of the comic.
