According to 'News of Poltava,' LLC "Druzhba" (Poltava Region) is establishing a honey processing plant.

As shared by Konstantin Emelyanov, the Executive Director of the trading house "Medy Mezhdurechye," the honey plant plans to carry out homogenization, which involves blending honey to delay the crystallization process (to meet European standards). However, the equipment for this purpose has not yet been installed.

Currently, the facility operates a Finnish automatic Paradise Honey machine capable of extracting honey from 200 frames - the largest of its kind in Ukraine. In one shift, around 2,000 frames are processed, equivalent to about 4.5 tons of honey. On average, 50-80 tons of honey are produced throughout the season.

"Although the decision was made to reduce the volumes of the industrial apiary and part of it was sold, it was decided to maintain bee colonies to support the high yield of technical crops by LLC 'Druzhba.' Nevertheless, just as before, we adhere to all European requirements for cultivating and processing products. We collaborated with the Ukrainian Honey Center. We supplied products there, and they conducted tests. We have ensured that the quality meets European requirements. Subsequently, we directed the products to Europe through contracts.

However, currently, we only deliver to Ukraine: Sumy, Kyiv, Kremenchuk. All our products are certified: after each honey collection, we submit samples to the regional state service. It's a premium-grade product. We are located in an ecologically clean zone," shared Konstantin Emelyanov.
