In Odessa, an indictment was sent to the court against a resident of the unrecognized Transnistrian Moldavian Republic on the fact of committing a terrorist act by prior agreement by a group of persons.
According to the investigation, at the end of last year, a foreigner, at the direction of Russian curators, planned and implemented terrorist acts on the territory of the Odessa region.
The defendant involved his acquaintance, a citizen of Ukraine, in the commission of crimes and, to test his readiness for cooperation, gave him the task of pouring red paint on a memorial sign to the âHeroes of the Heavenly Hundredâ in the park near the Odessa Regional State Administration on Shevchenko Avenue in Odessa.
Having received photo confirmation of the act of vandalism, the man handed over to the accomplice a payment of 400 US dollars.
Convinced that the "executor" coped with the task assigned to him, the foreigner, after giving detailed instructions, instructed the man to set fire to military vehicles located on the territory of one of the military units in Odessa. For the completed task, he promised to pay 800 US dollars. At the same time, he noted that this terrorist act should cause a public outcry and violate public security, as well as cause material damage to the military property of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
During the transfer of the aforementioned funds to the âexecutorâ for setting the car on fire, the attacker was detained by the SBU officers in the Odessa region. At the request of the prosecutor's office, the accused is in custody.
