For the first time, a Ukrainian company has won the Red Dot Design Award for drone design. The award was given to Ailand Systems, a developer of autonomous drones for demining and agriculture.
The Red Dot Design Award has been held annually for nearly 70 years, selecting the best designs from around 20,000 entries each year. There are three categories: product design, brands and communication design, and design concepts.
“The Bee represents a vision for the future after the war. It is our concept of a universal drone platform that can be used for both demining and agricultural purposes. We are proud to present the first Ukrainian drone to win this award,” said Dmytro Titov, Executive Director of Ailand Systems.
The Bee is a versatile unmanned platform designed for agricultural applications.
The drone is equipped with LIDAR and ultrasonic sensors for effective navigation, a stereoscopic vision system, and a microcomputer for real-time situation assessment using artificial intelligence.
