On the night of September 25, 2024, during an air defense battle, 28 strike UAVs and four guided aviation missiles (Kh-59/69) were shot down. Four additional drones were lost over several regions of Ukraine (no reports of casualties or destruction have been received).

Russian force attacked the Kharkiv region with an S-300 anti-aircraft guided missile and three missiles of an unidentified type, and the Odessa region with four guided aviation missiles (Kh-59/69) fired from the airspace over the Black Sea. Additionally, 32 Shahed-type strike UAVs were launched (from Primorsko-Akhtarsk and Kursk, Russia).
Aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, mobile fire groups, and electronic warfare units of Ukraine’s Defense Forces were involved in repelling the air attack.
Air defense operated in the regions of Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Sumy, Poltava, Mykolaiv, Odessa, and Kherson.
