Ukrainian air defense successfully neutralized 9 enemy "Shahed" kamikaze drones and one cruise missile "Iskander-K" that attacked Ukraine on the night of Tuesday, November 21, 2023, as reported by the Air Force.
"During the night on November 21, 2023, aggressors attacked from the southeast direction (Primorsko-Akhtarsk-RF) with 10 combat UAVs of the 'Shahed' type. Additionally, the enemy launched 4 guided anti-aircraft missiles S-300 in the Donetsk direction and one cruise missile 'Iskander-K' from the area of Dzhankoy (Crimea)," the statement reads.
It is noted that mobile fire group units, fighter aviation, and anti-aircraft missile units were engaged to combat airborne threats.
As a result of the air defense operation, 9 combat UAVs "Shahed-136/131" and 1 cruise missile "Iskander-K" were destroyed, according to the statement.
The Central City Hospital in the town of Selydove (Donetsk region), the premises of the Kotliarevska mine and other civilian infrastructure suffered severe damage.
