Air Force: Russia launched an attack with 215 drones and missiles

On the night of June 7 (starting at 10:00 p.m. on June 6), the Russian forces launched 215 aerial attack weapons, including:

  • 206 Shahed-type strike drones and various decoy drones from the directions of Bryansk, Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), and Chauda (occupied Crimea);
  • 2 Iskander-M / KN-23 ballistic missiles from Voronezh region (Russia);
  • 6 guided Kh-59/69 air-launched missiles from tactical aviation operating in the airspace over temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia region;
  • 1 Iskander-K cruise missile from Rostov region (Russia).

The air attack was repelled by Ukrainian aircraft, air defense missile forces, electronic warfare units, drone system operators, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.

As of 09:00, according to preliminary data, Ukraine's air defense neutralized 174 aerial threats, including:

  • 87 Shahed drones and other UAVs were shot down by firepower;
  • 80 drones were suppressed or lost due to electronic warfare;
  • 6 guided Kh-59/69 missiles were intercepted;
  • 1 Iskander-K cruise missile was destroyed.

Enemy aerial weapons hit 10 locations, and debris from intercepted threats fell in 7 different areas.
