Akhmetov's Metinvest has been named the largest private donor to the Armed Forces of Ukraine

During the war, the company "Metinvest" suffered significant losses but established new export chains and shifted production to military rails. Overall, since the beginning of the war, the company has allocated 2.5 billion UAH in support of the army, making it the largest private donor to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Reported by NV.

In particular, the company has developed technology for the production of special steel for armor plates, the main components of bulletproof vests, and shields to protect military vehicles for the Armed Forces. Experts plan to equip 200 frontline vehicles with armor.

The company has also provided over 330 special mobile shelters, made of steel, to the soldiers as well as produced over 250 fake artillery pieces - replicas of howitzers and radar installations. The frontline protection of Ukrainian armored vehicles is supported by 32 'lancelet catchers,' developed by Metinvest specialists.

To strengthen the defense capabilities of the Armed Forces, the company has established a systematic supply of military equipment and machinery to the frontlines. This includes over 1500 drones, 1700 thermal imagers, 875 units of communication equipment, and over 520 multipurpose vehicles. Additionally, the company's specialists conduct major repairs on military vehicles.

In total, Metinvest has manufactured or procured 150,000 bulletproof vests, 25,000 helmets, and helmets, and 31,500 turnstiles from abroad. Personal protective equipment is provided to military personnel of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, rescuers, utility workers, and volunteers working in hazardous regions, making the company one of the largest ammunition suppliers in Ukraine.

As part of a major project by Metinvest and its shareholder Rinat Akhmetov, the company has also started producing mine-clearing trawls for tanks, supporting counter-offensives.

Moreover, the group invested 9.5 million UAH in the construction of the Center for Mine Action, where over 3,000 sappers will be trained in demining territories.
