In the context of this information, one could sarcastically remark that the "great space superpower" is limited in its satellite capabilities to the extent that it resorts to private entities. Especially since, just the day before on November 25, a Soyuz-2.1b carrier rocket was launched, placing into orbit the 14F156 "Razdan" optical-electronic reconnaissance complex. "Razdan" belongs to the class of new-generation Russian optical-electronic reconnaissance satellites but does not add to the existing "army" of Russian satellites; rather, it replaces satellites from the "Persona" series.
The "Persona" satellites have an interesting history, with only three launched, and currently, only two are operational, with one urgently needing replacement and the second holding on for a bit longer. Therefore, it's not entirely clear whether "Razdan" will compensate for the lost third "Persona" satellite or replace the one that is on its last legs among the remaining two.
The focus, however, is on the fact that since 2022, there has been regular information about the activity of entities associated with Russia, often one-day companies but not always, that acquire satellite images. While it might be challenging to hold a one-day company accountable and track its activities, the data is sold to them by significant companies that are registered and operate within the framework of Western legislation.
In general, the question to the partners is quite unequivocal."
