The duo of Alyona Alyona & Jerry Heil will represent Ukraine at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Malmö, Sweden.
Following the results of the national selection final for Eurovision 2024, Alyona Alyona & Jerry Heil emerged as the winners with their song "Teresa & Maria." They received 10 points from the judges and 11 points from the audience, securing their victory in the national selection. A total of 723.2 thousand Ukrainians voted for them out of the 1.2 million participants in the voting.
The rankings of the other ten finalists are as follows: the group Ziferblat ("Place I Call Home") took the second place, Mélovin ("Dreamer") - 3rd, Yaktak ("Lalala") - 4th, the group Yagody ("Tsunamia") - 5th, Ingret ("Keeper") - 6th, Skylerr ("Time is running out") - 7th, ANKA ("Ðалала") - 8th, Drevo ("Endless chain") - 9th, the band Nahaba ("Glasses") - 10th, and the band Nazva ("Slavic English") - 11th place.
In previous instances when Sweden hosted Eurovision, Ukraine secured the 1st place (Jamala in 2016) and the 3rd place (Zlata Ognevich in 2013).
The 68th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest in May 2024 will be hosted by the Swedish city of Malmö. The grand final of Eurovision 2024 will take place at the Malmö Arena stadium on Saturday, May 11. The semi-finals, including the participation of the Ukrainian representative, will be held on May 7 and May 9.
Ukraine made its debut at Eurovision in 2003, and in 2004, Ukrainian singer Ruslana won the competition with the song "Wild Dances," earning the right for Ukraine to host the Eurovision Song Contest.
