Representatives from the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) have begun working on a permanent basis in Ukraine. This development marks a significant step in strengthening economic support and investment opportunities in the country.
According to a recent update from AmCham Ukraine, the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine held a productive meeting with Caitlin Candee, a project financing and political risk insurance specialist, and Anthony Pollak, an investment advisor from DFC. Both professionals are now based in Ukraine.
Anthony Pollak has been working in Kyiv since July 2024, and prior to this, he represented the CrossBoundary group in Kyiv starting in June 2024. Additionally, DFC has launched a dedicated website to detail its operations and efforts in Ukraine.
Before the full-scale Russian invasion, DFC investments in Ukraine totaled $800 million. Since early 2022, this amount has more than doubled, increasing by $848 million. As of August 12, 2024, DFC's total portfolio in Ukraine stands at approximately $1.6 billion.
