Bandura and violins, flute and saxophone, accordion and double bass, piano, and flute - you have never experienced such a sound of classical jazz!
On February 11 (Saturday) at 18:00, we invite all connoisseurs of fine music to the "Theatrical Jazz" concert performed by the Ukrainian Theater orchestra under the leadership of Vadym Bessarab.
Vadym Bessarab's music combines jazz traditions and an academic approach, creating a lyrical and dreamy atmosphere typical of modern European piano jazz. The trio's latest album, Approximations, received rave reviews from American and European critics, including from the website All About Jazz. The previous album, Differences, was named among the best Ukrainian albums of the year by the Aprize Music Award.
A highly unusual jazz orchestra consisting of 13 musicians will perform in an acoustic format at arm's length from the audience. Olga Leonenko (bandura, vocals), Anastasia Kairyak and Inna Fedoseeva (violins), Natalia Kolesnyk (viola), Kateryna Mitrofanova (cello), Viktor Glushenko and Anton Marchenko (double basses), Roman Cherkas (flute) will play for you on stage. Serhii Horban (clarinet, saxophone, flute), Vitaly Bezulyov (clarinet, saxophone), Serhii Brykailo (bayan), Igor Semyonov (drums) and Vadym Bessarab (piano).
