According to the Embassy of Ukraine in Italy, the maestro will present the "Voice of My Soul" programme in support of the creation of the Center for Contemporary Art - the Ivan Marchuk Museum.

During the concert, the pictures of the Ukrainian artist will come to life on the screens, which, intertwining with the graceful arias of the Italian tenor, will create an incredible multidimensional art canvas for the viewer.

Ivan Marchuk is People's Artist of Ukraine, laureate of the Taras Shevchenko National Prize of Ukraine, member of the Golden Guild of the Roman Academy of Contemporary Art. It was this artist who created his own technique: "plantanism"; became the only Ukrainian who got into the rating "100 geniuses of our time" by the British newspaper The Daily Telegraph in 2007. He is also the author of about 5 thousand paintings, has more than 200 monographic exhibitions, his works are presented in museums and private collections on 5 continents.

The main idea behind the creation of the Center for Contemporary Art - the Ivan Marchuk Museum is to broadly represent and promote Ukrainian art. The embodiment of this idea aims to build an innovative art space that will warmly welcome the work of all contemporary artists. To implement the President's initiative, the "Modern Art Foundation" charitable foundation was created.

In Kyiv, the maestro Andrea Bocelli will sing with four outstanding Ukrainian singers:

  • soloists of the National Opera of Ukraine Lyudmila Monastyrskaya and Tamara Kalinkina
  • People's Artist of Ukraine Tina Karol
  • Eurovision winner, People's Artist of Ukraine Jamala

The artists will be accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Vladimir Sirenko with the participation of the National Ukrainian Folk Choir of Ukraine named after Grigory Verevka. The orchestra will be conducted by Maestro Marcello Rota.

The event will take place on 24 August at 17:00 on Constitution Square (open-air near the Mariinsky Palace).
