Ukrainian director Antonio Lukich emerged victorious at the 21st Berlinale Co-Production Market.
He shared this news in his Instagram stories.
The Berlinale Co-Production Market is one of the world's largest platforms where partners for joint production and financing of films can be found.
Lukich's project "The Girl Who Screams" participated in the event. It is a film about a girl who, after the start of a full-scale invasion, finds herself in Ireland and tries to pursue her dream of becoming an actress there.
"Now we are obligated to make a good film," the director wrote.
The film received the Eurimages Co-production Development Award—a prize created to encourage international collaboration at the early stages of a project, amounting to 20,000 euros.
