As part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a company is fighting, which includes natives of Bashkortostan.

Aleksey Arestovich, the adviser to the Office of the President of Ukraine, spoke about this during a conversation with Russian human rights activist Mark Feygin on YouTube. According to him, the Freedom of Russia legion is now fighting near Bakhmut.

“By the way, in the counterattack a few days ago, they swept the stronghold of the Wagnerites very cool. They cleared it to zero. Well done, guys, they never cease to amaze,” Arestovich said.

According to him, the Bashkir company is not part of the Freedom of Russia legion.

"This is already a whole company of natives of Bashkortostan, also unofficial called Bashkiria. There is a separate company, they have gathered and wanted to be a national unit in the composition. Well, ok," the adviser to the OP noted.

In addition, Arestovich said that the Turkic company "Turan" is fighting on the side of Ukraine.

The Freedom of Russia legion was formed in March 2022. It includes former servicemen of the RF Armed Forces. In April, they received Ukrainian field uniforms and the Freedom of Russia Legion paraphernalia.

We also recall that the "Georgian Legion" is fighting in Ukraine.
