Arestovich: why did Russia launch a fake about the counter-offensive of the Ukrainian army?

The "leak" of data about the alleged counter-offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is a very poorly fabricated fake of Russia, which was made "according to all the laws of disinformation" - 90% true and 10% false.

This was told by the ex-adviser of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Alexey Arestovich.

"The goal is very simple: they legalized allegedly large losses for us in the Ukrainian and Russian segments and low ones for them. This attempt cannot cause anything but laughter. Well, all other tasks in the style of: "leaky Americans", "holey Ukrainians ","Ukrainians are leaking secret American data, "let's sow mistrust among the allies." I think the main thing is to legalize low casualty figures," the expert said.

The purpose of the disinformation was also to convince the Ukrainians of the heavy losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, that "the command, the president is lying to us … and after the counter-offensive, they will become five times more!"

This is an attempt to create public opinion against a counter-offensive. It's just IPSO (information-psychological special operation) before big events, Arestovich suggested.

Arestovich called Russia "twice idiots": "If it's true, and they published it, they're idiots. They made it very bad if it's fake, so they're idiots too."
