The German company ARX Robotics, specializing in ground drones, has unveiled the first combat version of its Gereon RCS system—the ground robotic complex Combat Gereon. Designed to enter battle first, it aims to increase soldier survivability.
Combat Gereon was developed as part of a Ukrainian-European initiative: in Ukraine, ARX collaborated with Frontline in Ukraine, integrating continuous direct feedback from end users with frontline experience.
At the same time, ARX advanced the project with its European partner Valhalla for certification and integration into European armed forces procurement processes, Militär Aktuell reports.
Combat Gereon will be showcased for the first time at the DSEI UK 2025 exhibition in London, held from September 9–12. The robotic complex will be presented alongside Valhalla Turrets’ remotely operated combat station Loki. This integration highlights the platform’s ability to carry modular payloads and maintain full interoperability within the ARX ecosystem, which runs on Mithra OS.
Currently, Combat Gereon can carry various payloads weighing up to 500 kg over distances of up to 40 km.
