Russian forces launched a new wave of attacks across several Ukrainian regions overnight and on July 21, killing civilians, injuring dozens, and damaging homes, businesses, and critical infrastructure.
In Sumy, a Russian drone struck a nine-story residential building, injuring six people, including four children, according to Ukraine's State Emergency Service (DSNS). The strike sparked a fire on the ground floor, forcing rescuers to evacuate residents.
During firefighting operations, Russian forces carried out a second strike targeting emergency responders. A shopping center also caught fire, while one DSNS vehicle was destroyed and another damaged.
In Kharkiv, Russian FPV drones and UAVs targeted the city overnight. While earlier attacks damaged two gas stations without causing casualties, a later drone strike hit a residential area in the city's Nemyshlianskyi district. Five people, including a 13-year-old girl, suffered acute stress reactions after a private house was damaged and caught fire.
In Donetsk region, Russian attacks killed four civilians—two in Kramatorsk and two in Druzhkivka—and injured 13 others, regional authorities said.
In Chernihiv, a drone strike hit an administrative building, causing a fire and injuring one person, who suffered blast injuries and acute stress.
Russian drones also struck Dnipropetrovsk region, where more than ten attacks were recorded overnight. Two people were killed in the Synelnykove district, while infrastructure, vehicles, and property were damaged in the Nikopol area.
In Kherson region, Russian artillery and drone attacks targeted dozens of settlements, injuring 22 people, including one child. Residential buildings, a shop, and private vehicles were damaged during the attacks.
