The Ukrainian Veterans' Fund launched a social advertisement, "Veterans are different. There is one victory", within the framework of the "Respect" project. The photographer of the project was Azovstal Defender Dmytro Kozatsky. The press service of the foundation reported this on Facebook.
"The photographer of the project is Dmytro "Orest" Kozatsky. This is his first project after Russian captivity. Together with the Ukrainian Veterans Fund team, Orest developed the concept of symbolic plots of the boards. Each of them has something that had to be put on hold because of the war. Everyone has what they are fighting for today and what or whom they are defending. The project is intended to remind about respect, non-discrimination, and equality among the defenders of Ukraine, regardless of their gender, age, ethnicity or sexual orientation," the message reads.
Today, social advertising can be seen in Kyiv, Kherson, Odessa, Lviv, Vinnytsia, Dnipro, and Chernihiv.
Also, during the week, the project's authors will tell the stories of the heroes of the project every day, who unite veterans around them. The participants were Olga Benda, Nariman Bilyalov, Oleksandr Budko, Eva Reuter, and Roman Kulyk.
The advertisement was launched with the support of the Independent Anti-Corruption Commission as part of the "Respect" project.
Dmytro Kozatsky is one of the defenders of Mariupol, released from Russian captivity on September 21. Then Ukraine returned 215 Ukrainian defenders. 108 of them are fighters of the "Azov" regiment.
Even before leaving Azovstal, Dmytro Kozatsky posted his works online, urging them to be distributed and sent to all possible awards and contests. His works were recognized at the photo competition The Prix de la Photographie. He also won the Grand Press Photo 2022 Polish photo contest and received two International Photography Awards.
