Belgium will allocate 150,000 euros of cultural aid to Ukraine. This was agreed upon by the Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, Oleksandr Tkachenko, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Affairs and Foreign Trade and Federal Cultural Institutions of Belgium Aja Lyabib, who arrived in Kyiv the other day.
In addition, Brussels will provide new humanitarian and military aid to Ukraine and joined the humanitarian initiative "Grain from Ukraine".
"During the meeting, we agreed on important cooperation: Ukrainian cultural seasons in Belgium, supply of generators to our institutions and media for the winter, spreading of the ban on Russian propaganda, assistance in preserving Ukrainian cultural heritage, and assistance in the amount of 150,000 euros to the cultural sphere," said Oleksandr Tkachenko.
During Aja Lyabib's visit, Oleksandr Tkachenko led a tour for his Belgian colleague to the National Art Museum of Ukraine and Sophia of Kyiv.
"They showed our art, monuments of history and architecture, our history and roots," he noted.
