Lieutenant General (Retired), former commanding general of US Army Europe Ben Hodges is convinced that there is practically no chance that Russia will use nuclear weapons in the war against Ukraine.
Ben Hodges expressed this opinion in an interview with TSN.ua.
“I think the chances that Russia will use nuclear weapons are almost non-existent. It is so unlikely … President Biden warned them of catastrophic consequences. I think they believe it. And they also know that with tactical nuclear weapons, they will do nothing achieved. It won't change the battlefield in their favor. There won't be any bright results for Russia from using nuclear weapons. In fact, nuclear weapons work best if they are not used. Because people are going through: "God, they can use nuclear weapons. "Once they do that, it's all over," he said.
