New U.S. President will listen to his citizens, who clearly support Ukraine and understand the impact of its struggle against Russia.

This was stated by U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink at the forum "We Cement Victory: From Citizen Resilience to a State of Gratitude."

"The struggle of Ukraine affects us. It's important for us, not just as a country, but for Michigan or Texas, because this struggle exists, just like the question for any administration: how will the winner politically support Ukraine?" she explained.

Brink assured that American citizens clearly support Ukraine and noted that the new administration will listen to Americans and uphold democratic values.

"I don’t know how assistance will translate into political decisions; I can’t predict that because each administration has its own strategies and rights to decide. However, when there is clear support, I am confident that our support for Ukraine will continue," said the U.S. ambassador.

The diplomat also believes that Ukraine must continue on its chosen path, so that when asked, "Why should we support you?" it can respond that this is a matter of security, economics, democratic freedoms, and proximity to the European Union and NATO.

"Ukraine is the partner that America wants to see as a strong ally in the fight for democratic values. I can’t predict the future or give a direct answer to the question, but I am confident that support for Ukraine will be there. I believe in democracy and in America’s interest in Ukraine," noted Brink.
