The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov assessed the partnership with Bulgaria.
He made this statement in an interview with the Bulgarian TV channel bTV.
Responding to a question about how he evaluates Ukraine's partnership with Bulgaria, Budanov said that he evaluates it "very highly."
"Your country has provided us with a significant amount of armaments, but the main thing is that it is increasing the production of new ammunition," emphasized Budanov.
According to him, "the needs are very great," and therefore, for Kyiv, "this is a matter of survival in many ways."
"Ukraine will always remember and be grateful for the assistance provided to us by Bulgaria and its leadership," concluded Budanov.
Earlier, it was reported that the Bulgarian government approved a draft agreement between the Ministries of Internal Affairs of Bulgaria and the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine on the free provision of 100 armored personnel carriers.
This is the first time the Bulgarian side directly transfers armored vehicles to Kyiv without intermediaries, as it had done before.
Recall that at the end of June, Bulgaria approved a new package of military aid to Ukraine, the details of which have not been disclosed.
