On Saturday, January 17, talks will take place in Miami, Florida, involving National Security and Defense Council Secretary Rustem Umerov, Head of the President’s Office Kyrylo Budanov, and Head of the Servant of the People parliamentary faction Davyd Arakhamia.

This was reported by Ukraine’s Ambassador to the United States, Olha Stefanishyna.

“As President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized, we are working on two key documents—agreements on security guarantees and Ukraine’s economic prosperity, with a total value of up to $800 billion—which may be signed at the World Economic Forum in Davos,” Stefanishyna wrote.

She clarified that the purpose of Umerov, Budanov, and Arakhamia’s visit is to finalize these agreements with American partners so that they best reflect Ukraine’s national interests.

At the same time, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in his evening video address that the Ukrainian delegation is already on its way to the United States.

“Today I held a meeting with government officials and the Office team. Our representatives—Rustem Umerov, Kyrylo Budanov, and Davyd Arakhamia—are now on their way to the United States of America. We expect meetings with our American colleagues in the near future,” Zelenskyy noted.

He also stressed that preparations are ongoing for documents for meetings in Davos next week.

“We are preparing for next week. For the meetings in Davos to be productive and meaningful, there must be clear substance—the substance of the meetings and the substance of the documents. This is definitely not the time for loud and empty talk or formal meetings. There must be results for real people—for Ukrainians, for all Europeans, and for Americans. Peace is equally needed by everyone, real security is needed by everyone, and normal economic development is also needed by everyone. All of this must be reflected in the relevant documents we are preparing, including with the American side,” Zelenskyy emphasized.
