Conference “Export in Conditions of War: Challenges and Opportunities”

On May 28, 2025, a conference will take place in Kyiv dedicated to discussing the challenges and opportunities for Ukrainian exports amid the ongoing war. The event will bring together representatives from the government, business, expert community, and international partners to present solutions that will help adapt Ukrainian exports to new realities, maintain positions in foreign markets, and lay the foundation for economic recovery and growth.

Taras Kachka, Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine — Trade Representative of Ukraine, will present the draft of the new Ukrainian Export Strategy — a strategic document that will define state approaches to supporting exports during the full-scale war and post-war recovery.

Igor Burakovsky, Chairman of the Board of the Institute for Economic Research and Policy Consulting; Veronika Movchan, Director of Research at the same institute; and Andriy Dligach, co-founder of Advanter Group, will also present:

The results of a study assessing expectations, behavioral strategies, and response measures of key importers of Ukrainian products (the 10 largest countries);

A roadmap for promoting Ukraine’s economic opportunities in foreign markets under wartime conditions.

Speakers include: Taras Kachka, Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine — Trade Representative of Ukraine; representatives of GIZ’s ReACT4UA / EU4Business program; as well as representatives from UNDP, the Embassy of Japan in Ukraine, and others.

The event is organized by the Public Union “Fund for Support of Reforms in Ukraine” within the project “Ukrainian Export Strategy in Wartime” with support from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Ukraine and financial assistance from the Government of Japan under the project “Transformational Recovery for People’s Security in Ukraine.” It is also part of the project “TIPSTER: Trade, Intellectual Property Support, and Technical Regulation,” implemented by the Public Union FPRU with financial support from the German government within the international cooperation project ReACT4UA (“Application and Implementation of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement in the Trade Sphere”), executed by the German federal company Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
