The Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Yevhen Moisiuk, as part of the Ukrainian delegation headed by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksii Reznikov, took part in the meeting of the "Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine" in the "Rammstein" format, which took place on June 15, 2022 in Brussels, NATO Headquarters.
In particular, the Ukrainian delegation met with the Minister of Department of National Defence of Canada Anita Anand and the Chhief of the Defence Staff of the Canadian Armed Forces and the Commander of the Canadian Army Lieutenant-General Wayne Donald Eyre and the Minister of Defence of the Kingdom of Norway Forsvarsdepartementet (Norge)Bjørn Arild Gram.
The parties discussed the security situation on the battlefields in Ukraine, bilateral military cooperation and countering russian aggression.The third Rammstein meeting demonstrated NATO's unity and readiness to provide more weapons to fight for Ukraine's freedom and independence. The meeting was initiated by the US Secretary of Defense U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Lloyd J. Austin III. It was also attended by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, the General Mark A. Milley, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff The Joint Staff, the Commander U.S. European Command (EUCOM) and NATO's Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR) General Todd Walters Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE), and the Admiral Rob Bauer (Koninklijke Marine), Chair of the NATO Military Committee.
