Deputy Minister of Health of Ukraine Igor Ivashchenko: COVID-19 vaccine will be available in Ukraine at the beginning of February
During the first wave of immunization in February, Ukrainians will be vaccinated with vaccines from the leading manufacturer Pfizer.
As part of the Gavi COVAX Global Initiative, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine will receive the first 117,000 coronavirus vaccines from Pfizer in February and launch a national vaccination campaign in a timely manner. This was announced during a briefing by Deputy Minister of Health for European Integration Ihor Ivashchenko.
Currently, the list of Gavi COVAX vaccines to be provided includes Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Novavax, Moderna and Curevac. From April, COVAX expects to increase the volume of vaccines and the Ministry of Health of Ukraine also expresses interest in continuing this partnership

To ensure that the purchase and delivery of the vaccine is timely, Ukraine will sign with Pfizer an additional package of documentation on safety systems (import license) and liability based on Ukrainian and international laws.
The Ministry of Health of Ukraine will keep in touch with COVAX throughout the vaccination process to be an integral part of the international community of member states that received these vaccines, share experiences, jointly develop an effective mechanism for each stage of vaccination
