Decrees on Zelensky's sanctions against Russian oligarchs and companies was published

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has enforced the decision of the National Security and Defense Council to impose sanctions on Russian oligarchs, companies and enterprises.

Decrees No. 726/2022 and No. 727/2022, dated October 19, are published on the President's website.

Both decrees are supposed to put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of October 19 "On the application and amendment of personal special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions)".

The relevant decisions of the National Security and Defense Council are supposed to support the proposals made by the Security Service of Ukraine on the application and amendment of sanctions.

The decisions of the National Security and Defense Council, which are related to the decrees, provide for the application of sanctions to individuals and legal entities.

The list of individuals covered by Decree No. 726/2022 includes 2,251 names. Among them are citizens, particularly of Ukraine, Russia, Syria, Germany, and France.

So, the list includes a deputy of the State Duma of Russia of the VI convocation (2011-2016), Alina Kabaeva, Russian TV presenter Tina Kandelaki and the son of the ex-president of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych Alexander.

The list of legal entities includes 1,374 names. Among these companies are the Russian Direct Investment Fund and the Fund for the Promotion and Development of Defense Industrial Enterprises.

The list of individuals covered by Decree No. 727/2022 includes 256 names. Among them are Russian oligarchs Arkady Rotenberg and Roman Abramovich.

Decrees come into force from the day of their publication.
