Russian forces are attempting to apply pressure along the entire line of contact; they have even intensified activity in directions that were previously quiet, including the Velykyi Burluk direction.
This was reported in a televised broadcast by spokesperson of the Joint Forces Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant Colonel Viktor Trehubov.
“The enemy is indeed trying to create pressure along the entire line of contact. And in our area of responsibility, this includes attempts to open new sectors along the Ukrainian–Russian border, including, for example, attempts to advance toward Hranove and Kozacha Lopan directly north of Kharkiv across the border. They are being pushed back there, but we are already observing that they are trying to push in from all sides,” Trehubov said.
He noted that the Russians are also attacking in directions that until recently were considered relatively quiet.
“They are even trying to resume aggressive actions in the Velykyi Burluk direction, which for quite a long time had been relatively calm. They are actively pushing in the Kupiansk area, on both the left and right banks of the Oskil River — especially the left bank. And, of course, the most active area for us remains Lyman, the Lyman direction,” the spokesperson of the Joint Forces Group said.
