Cyber specialists from the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine succeeded in gaining access to the servers of the Russian Ministry of Defense following a DDoS attack, as reported by the press service in their Telegram channel.
"Now, the Ukrainian intelligence service possesses software for information protection and encryption previously used by the Russian Ministry of Defense, as well as a trove of classified official documentation from the Russian Ministry of War. This includes orders, reports, directives, reports, and other documents circulated among 2000 structural units of the Russian security agency," the statement said.
It emphasizes that the obtained information allows for establishing the complete structure of the Russian Ministry of Defense and its branches.
"The analysis of the obtained data also helped identify the leadership, other high-ranking officials of the structural units of the Russian Ministry of Defense, as well as deputies, assistants, specialists - all those who used the software for electronic document management called 'burokrat' [bureaucrat]. For instance, the military intelligence of Ukraine now has the official documentation of the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation - Ivanov Timur Vadimovich," explained the Main Intelligence Directorate.
