This is stated in a message on the Telegram channel of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
It is noted that the Russians are increasingly refusing to go to die for the ideas of the Kremlin dictator.
"Despite this, the Ministry of Defense of the aggressor country decided to increase the number of PMC mercenaries who take part in hostilities on the territory of Ukraine. First of all, in the war against our state, the command of the RF Armed Forces actively uses representatives of the Russian PMC "Wagner" / "Liga" , the note says.
According to Ukrainian military intelligence, there are about 4,500-5,000 militants in the temporarily occupied territories.
"They work in certain directions as assault detachments that operate in the first line of offensive troops," the intelligence service notes.
As reported earlier, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin signed a decree to increase the army's size in 2023 by 140,000 people. The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has already ridiculed this decision.
On August 27, it became known that Russia had stepped up covert mobilization in the Moscow and Leningrad regions. The authorities are conducting an agitation campaign and motivating men to sign contracts to go to war in Ukraine.
