The Russian spy network continues to operate actively in European countries. Andrii Chernyak, a representative of the military intelligence of Ukraine, told about this during an interview with the Greek "Iefimerida".
"One of the main goals of the Russians is to influence certain authoritative people in European countries, as well as public opinion. That is why Russians invest a lot in working with mass media. This and their open propaganda mouthpieces, such as "Russia Today" and other more hidden methods of influence. There are cases when foreign media journalists recruited by Russians go to work with the sole task of talking to their colleagues in order to influence their opinion in favor of Russia," said Andriy Chernyak.
According to the representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the Russian espionage network has recently focused on neutralizing the supply routes of Western weapons provided to Ukraine by its partners.
"Russia is interested in all of Europe as a "zone of influence". If she conquers Ukraine, she will not stop there. She will go further. And we know that Putin had such plans before invading Ukraine. Maybe they haven't changed even now," said the representative of military intelligence of Ukraine.
