Defence Intelligence: Russia is urgently sending its translators to Syria

The personnel of the Russian military contingent in Syria are reportedly demoralized due to the successes of opposition forces, including the capture of Aleppo, ongoing battles near Hama, and advances toward Homs.

This was reported by the press service of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense.

"The Syrian government army and military units of the aggressor state Russia are suffering significant losses, retreating from positions, abandoning weapons and equipment — the retreat is chaotic. To the city of Hama, where clashes are occurring, Arab-Russian translators are being urgently deployed, presumably for Russian Armed Forces officers attempting to rally Bashar al-Assad's troops," the statement reads.

It is noted that planned rotations of Russian forces in Syria have been suspended.

"To assist the Middle Eastern country, the Moscow leaders have decided to send mercenaries from "private military companies" — the arrival of militants, likely from the so-called "African Corps," is expected," the statement reads.
