Representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Andriy Yusov, notes that the work for conducting exchanges of prisoners with Russia is ongoing, and "results will definitely be achieved."
"It is possible. It is a task. But it is a long and complex process... of course, it is provided for by international law – the return of all defenders home," Yusov said during an interview in a telethon, responding to the question of whether an exchange on the "all for all" formula is possible.
The intelligence representative added that work is simultaneously being done on the continuation of other separate group exchanges.
"If we talk about our trump cards, of course, the more successes of the Ukrainian Security and Defense Forces, the more replenishment of the exchange fund, the more arguments for preparing the next exchanges. And such arguments appear," he said.
Yusov emphasized that negotiations and the work of the coordinating headquarters on the preparation of exchanges are ongoing.
"And results will definitely be achieved. We all want it to happen as soon as possible," he emphasized.
Earlier, the Commission on Establishing the Fact of Captivity presented interim results, according to which there are 4,337 Ukrainians in Russian captivity, including 3,574 military personnel and 763 civilians.
