The Prime Minister of Denmark, Mette Frederiksen, announced providing an additional 110 million euros to Ukraine. These funds will be used to purchase weapons and equipment for the Ukrainian military, and part of them will pay for the training of the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrinform reports.
Frederiksen said this at the opening ceremony of the Conference of Northern European Allies in Support of Ukraine in Copenhagen.
According to her, Ukrainians pay an "exorbitant price" every day for the ruthlessness of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"We are impressed by the heroism and resilience of the defenders and the people of Ukraine. Your resilience is invincible, but you cannot stand this unequal war alone. We must all continue to provide and increase support to Ukraine with weapons, training, demining, financially," Mette Frederiksen added.
She expressed hope that the participants of the Conference would agree on even more contributions to help Ukraine.
"And, of course, Denmark is ready to do its part. Today we can announce a new investment of 110 million euros for weapons, equipment, and training," Frederiksen said.
According to her, the war in Ukraine is not a war of certain territories or borders but a war of beliefs. The war between democracy and tyranny. A war for the values ââon which Europe and the free world are based.
âWe must ask ourselves, do we have the courage to stand up for our values, are we ready to defend the foundations of the world order, will we help our friends when they need it? The future will decide the answer to this question," Frederiksen emphasized.
