Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba met with Mauritius Prime Minister Pravind Kumar Jugnauth.

The sides discussed enhancing cooperation between the two countries.

"Today in Port Louis, I had the honor of being received by Mauritius Prime Minister Pravind Kumar Jugnauth. This is the first visit by a Ukrainian Foreign Minister to the Republic of Mauritius. Our countries highly value the protection of fundamental principles of the UN Charter, such as the sovereignty and territorial integrity of nations. I am grateful to Mauritius for its principled support for Ukraine in countering Russian aggression and for joining the Peace Summit communiqué. We discussed how our two countries can strengthen cooperation in political dialogue, trade, and investment, as well as enhance relations between Ukraine and Africa. Given the high level of economic and business development in Mauritius, we welcome the significant interest in participating in Ukraine's recovery. In this context, we agreed to start working on bilateral agreements on investment protection and double taxation avoidance," said Dmytro Kuleba.
