During the night, Russia launched 272 drones and 8 missiles at Ukraine

On the night of June 21 (from 8:00 PM on June 20), the Russian forces launched an air attack on Ukraine using 280 air assault weapons:

  • 272 strike drones of the Shahed type and various types of imitation drones from the directions of Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Kursk, Orel, Millerovo, Shatalovo — Russia; and Chauda — occupied Crimea.
  • 2 air-launched ballistic missiles Kh-47M2 Kinzhal from the airspace of Tambov region — Russia;
  • 4 cruise missiles Kalibr from the Black Sea;
  • 2 cruise missiles Iskander-K from Belgorod region — Russia.

The main target of the strike was Poltava region, specifically the city of Kremenchuk

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

According to preliminary data, as of 10:00 AM, air defense neutralized 260  air assault weapons: 145 were shot down by fire means, and 115 were lost to electronic warfare or radar suppression.

  • 140 Shahed-type drones (and other drone types) were shot down by fire means, 112 were lost or suppressed by electronic warfare;
  • 3 cruise missiles Iskander-K (1 lost to suppression);
  • 1 air-launched ballistic missile Kh-47M2 Kinzhal (1 lost to suppression);
  • 1 cruise missile Kalibr (1 lost to suppression).

Hits from Russian air assault weapons were recorded in Kremenchuk, Poltava region, with debris falling in three locations.
