E-Zoo opened 17 stores in 2024, increasing its network by 71%

The E-Zoo pet store chain, part of Fozzy Group led by Volodymyr Kostelman, opened 17 new stores in 2024, increasing its network by 71%. This was reported by the press service of Fozzy Group to Forbes Ukraine.

"Our goal is to become one of the largest offline pet store chains in Ukraine," said Igor Bilyuk, Director of Strategy and Development at E-Zoo.

According to him, the majority of E-Zoo stores were opened in the Kyiv region. However, new stores also opened in Odessa, Lviv, Rivne, Lutsk, and Poltava. Currently, the E-Zoo network consists of 41 stores across 10 regions of Ukraine.

The average store size is 70 m², with the largest store in Boyarka, Kyiv region, reaching 160 m². Each store offers a wide range of over 2,200 products for dogs, cats, rodents, birds, fish, reptiles, and horses.

According to Suziria Group, in 2023, the Ukrainian pet products market grew by 27%, reaching 35.7 billion UAH, compared to 22.6 billion UAH in pre-war 2021. The manufacturer forecasts that by 2025, the pet food segment will grow by at least 15%.

According to Kormotech, the largest pet food manufacturer in Ukraine, there are about 3,300 pet stores in the country. Their average trading area is about 50 m², with an average monthly turnover of 150,000 UAH.

E-Zoo is part of Fozzy Group, owned by Volodymyr Kostelman, Roman Chyhyriy, and Oleh Sotnykov. The revenue of "E-Zoo: We Love Animals" LLC in 2023 increased by 192.8%, reaching 221.1 million UAH. The loss decreased by 204.7%, amounting to 13,126 UAH. In addition to Kostelman, the co-owners of the pet store chain are entrepreneurs Igor and Oleh Bilyuk from Khmelnytsky, who founded E-Zoo in 2013. Kostelman joined the pet business in 2021, but the terms of the deal were not disclosed.
