The working Group on the implementation of a public-private partnership in the seaport Chornomorsk defined the schedule of the concession of the container terminal of the Chornomorsk Sea Trade Port and the preparation of a pre-feasibility study of the project.

The meeting chaired by the Minister of Infrastructure Vladislav Krikliy was attended by the Chairman of the SPILNO Project Office Taras Boychuk, acting Igor Shevchenko, directors of the Chornomorsk Sea Trade Port; representatives of the Ministry of Infrastructure, USPA, IFC, EBRD, Ernst & Young LLC, as well as representatives of the companies Castalia Advisers and Bilfinger Tebodin Ukraine.

According to the press service of the MIU, it is planned to complete the development of a pre-feasibility study for the container terminal concession project in early 2021, and the concession tender itself will be held at the end of the year.

Together with our permanent international partners, we continue to prepare new concession projects in the maritime industry. The previous experience of cooperation with the EBRD and IFC over the concessions of the ports of Olvia and Kherson has shown its success, so we are confident in further productive partnership. Today we are holding the first constituent meeting on the container terminal concession project in the port of Chornomorsk. This project has already been included in the government's 100 priority projects for the next three years, so its implementation is highly anticipated and important for the country. I welcome to our team the winning consultants of the tender for the preparation of the pre-feasibility study for this project. We are ready to work together further.

Vladislav Krikliy, Minister of Infrastructures of Ukraine

Earlier, MIU announced the completion of the selection of consultants for the preparation of a pre-feasibility study for the project of container terminals of the State Enterprise “MTP Chornomorsk ”. The consultants will be funded by the Global Infrastructure Facility (GIF).
