First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska supported the launch of the Ukrainian space on Google Arts & Culture - an online platform that allows you to access images of works of art stored in museums around the world.

For five years, Google Ukraine and the Ukrainian government, in particular the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy, have cooperated in the digitization of Ukrainian culture. They presented the collected materials on Google Arts & Culture platform in a separate online space created specifically for Ukraine - Ukraine is Here. In the sections "Architecture", "Nature", "Art", "Culture" you can familiarize yourself with the relevant achievements of our country using immersive formats: virtual tours, 3D objects, photo, audio and video stories.

"During the months of the war, more than 500 of our museums, historical buildings, and temples were destroyed or damaged. All this was created by generations of Ukrainians for new generations. So, it immediately became clear: we need to save not only our people, but also our culture and art from the invasion," the President's wife said.

Olena Zelenska thanked the Google team, the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, cultural institutions and artists for creating a project that simultaneously preserves Ukrainian culture and promotes it in the world.

"We present the project in turbulent times. Special attention is paid to our brave, strong, modern state. Ukraine is Here is an extremely powerful project that is the result of fruitful cooperation, true synergy of the teams of Google Arts & Culture, our Ministry, state agencies, many museums, nature reserves and individual experts. New opportunities to tell about Ukrainian culture in a large-scale, interesting and modern digital language, as it is done on Google Arts & Culture platform, is another of our joint victories," emphasized Oleksandr Tkachenko, Minister of Culture and Information Policy.

"Our culture is not only ours. This is the legacy of the entire civilized world. When one country loses its cultural values, the whole world loses. So let's preserve, multiply, watch, admire, Google Ukrainian culture and thus enrich the world," the First Lady added.
